If you click the button in the lower right corner after each edit, they will save forever.

You can change them at anytime when the games loaded and you have pressed load on FMM. Yes they save forever, but only on that database and will change over time according to the game.

If I havent created any databases (i.e I'm using the standard database), they save onto that one right?
