In truth, nobody really knows what the conditions were when Micheal Nygreen transferred the source code to Genie, but I suppose that there may have been some confidentiality clause that does not allow him to publish it. All he has said before is that he will not release it to others.

I'd suggest waiting for the patch to come out and then look for the Scout, cause everyone wants the Scout now, just imagine when people patch their game and want a Scout thats compatible with 8.0.1?

That's just my opinion anyway.

If you were a programmer, then your experience and services would probably be in so high demand, that you wouldn't have much time to play FM08, leave alone making an editor for it.

Konk has hit the nail on the head. I wouldn't deliver the product to make it compatible with the current game knowing that I'd have to revise it in about a fortnight's time to deliver a different product. I'd expect Genie soon after the full patch.

You have a fair point there... but i'm not trying to whinge that Genie hasn't released this (like some others), i'm just trying to understand why there aren't more tools like this available and why it seems there are such hard barriers to break down.
