Was just reading the comments on there and someone made a good point, there are so many of us waiting for this program, why aren't there more of these programs out there?
If I was a programmer i'd be busy trying to put something together. After all, what most of us want is just to extract the stats from the game, is it really that difficult?
Do we really need the source code from Genie?
Surely if the database has changed so much for this release then the source code will need to be different anyway? Or do I just not understand how this works?

The thing is, you need to read the savegame in order to know what players there are in your
game, and the savegame is SI's property...

Yeah I guess it is and of course they have rights to it... but looking at this thread there have been other 10,000 views alone, thats a lot of interest in this program, can't help but feel they are missing out on something here by not letting anyone have the source code.
