It's a separate program which installs like any others. It works by loading the save game, and you can search for players using lots of filters, look at details of any players, see which of your players plays best at which position as well as the squad lineup and tactic that will sort your players into their best position etc etc...

You need to change tactics in the game manually, though.
So far I've used it only to make myself shortlists with top players, as it usually gives me formations I don't really like if I try to use that function.

Some cant play with it, some cant play without it.

Some see it as a cheat, some see it as a more in-depth version of the in-fame scouting system.

Personally, if it makes you enjoy the game more, use it, everyone to their own.

You don't actually need your Fm game loaded, it runs off the save game file.

dont need your game running... you just load up genie and go to file --&gt; open... then open your save file and can scout the whole database on that save file ..

some people see it as a cheat , some people see it as just an extention of the scouting available in the game.... i used to use it to find out my own players capabilities etc but i did start to use it as a tool to find regens and youth and also to find out how much players would cost to buy

The scouting system in FM 06 was so bad and flawed that many people migrated to one of the Scout programs- as was said above, it is your game and you play it as you like, but best not to talk about it in GQ or any of the other forums because the self righteous brigade descend then in numbers.

Yeah.

Scout pretty much gets rid of ambiguity as to how good a coach, player or team is. It tells you how good they are, and how good they will be, even showing you what their stats will look like at their maximum potential.

Any questions you might have about any of the staff or players, this program answers.
