Only dicovered this tool last Jan or so and can't imagine FM without it now so my new FM2008 is sitting in the box waiting for FM Scout before I play it.

Benga I'm sorry, I'm not the type of guy who can stand still. But don't think I'm just having a go at you, this is just me. If I have a point, I want to prove it. It's just my personality.

So you were saying. Wondering about things that you can't ever change even after you were given the necessary information (so you can stop wondering) is not the reason you have brains. It's just the outcome of having one and not trying to control it like a proper modern human being.

"nobody has been asking that" Well, I guess it was just me. It seemed to me that people were actually mad at the whole thing. And that my friend, is greediness. If you had taken the time to read through this thread and not only assume by the starter's ridiculous last posts, you would see that he has, indeed, judged him for not spending enough of his free time for his (starter's - complete stranger to Eugene) own pleasure.

And I don't think that there is anything to DISCUSS here. Once upon a time a guy made a program and released it for free. The next year, that guy found it more challenging and did not have enough spare time when the program's dependency just came out. LET'S DISCUSS!

stokeoncity i don't think people are having a personal attack on you either. i think people would just like to have a discussion about scout without other people having a go at them. which to be frank, is what you're still doing.

i wasn’t saying it was the reason why we have brains, i was saying it’s one of the reasons...

but i think you’re missing the point. wondering is about entertaining and exploring possibilities. it’s having an inquisitive nature. it’s not about reading some information, accepting it at face value, and turning your brain off!

you do not require answers to wonder. Wondering is how we learn, how we develop, it forwards our thinking and inspires our questioning, it pushes us to strive to understand life and things around us.

if we didn’t wonder, we’d still be cave men!

and you’re making assumptions about the way people act from a couple of written sentences. i can only talk for myself, but i’ve never thought it was genie’s job to make scout. i think you’re making judgements about people that you can’t substantiate or prove - judging people the same way you’re accusing people of judging genie.

and again making assumptions i haven’t read the entire thread when i have... it seems to you that people are mad about the whole thing... it doesn’t seem that way to me. it would appear that maybe people are frustrated that they can’t discuss this topic without being attacked, but i don’t think any anger is directed towards genie.

and you do attack, i assume by starter you mean mooks1978 (?), calling his posts ridiculous...

you’re accusing mooks1978 (?) of judging genie for not spending enough of genie’s own time for mooks1978’s own pleasure. i’m sorry stokeoncity, but you can’t just write what you want and expect that to be the way it has been or the way it is! you’ve basically just made that up. nowhere in anybodies posts in this thread, had anybody judged genie for not working hard enough on this.

and you don’t think there is anything to discuss... so why keep posting? we think there is, and would probably like to carry on discussing scout long after it has been released. wondering what new features may come in the future. discussing how the new scout works. discussing bugs. discussing how to make our own scouts. i don’t know, there are a million and one things to wonder about and discuss regarding this topic.

i think the whole point of this backlash against people like yourself is that people would like to discuss scout without being attacked for it. you only have to see the other posts in this thread agreeing with people like myself wishing to discuss this topic, regardless of whether or not people like you agree, or think its silly, or think it’s pointless as it’s not based on facts!
