| Oh, yeah. Future money goes away. Sugar Daddies live forever.

dola ... d@mn no editing ...
The only problem I've encountered with SD kept me from using it this year.
When I started my fictional team, with SD, in England for the first time this year (all previous years, I've managed in France), my manager's salary was so high as to preclude the rest of the club's salary budget. We're talking a BSS manager with salary of 8500/week, and a team budget of 600/wk.
I reported it as a bug, but I haven't tried starting a new game since the patch, so maybe they fixed it.

You don't instantly get more money, but if you get into debt you'll get lots and lots of money to pay it off. You'll also be more likely to have requests for extra transfer money approved.

Does having a Sugar Daddy mean chairman/board will not sell your player, citing the offer was too good to refuse?

No, that has mostly to do with the chairman's intervention rating. A low intervention rating (say, 1) means he'll (almost) never take a bid over your head.

Be warned that expectations and patience can also change dramatically with a sugar daddy. So make sure that if you take this option you spend wisely and get some success.

You might also want to create your own chairman ...
| Haven't got my head around this create chairman business. Once created, do I have any contol? For instance if I make myself chairman, do I actually play that role and make any decisions?

No control, just your name.
And I'm not talking about the EDT thingy. In the editor, search for and find the cuurent chairman of your club and remove his job. Then, create a person, non-player, with job of chairman of your club. Give him cool ratings like good business sense and low interference.
