I don't think this has been asked before because it's not exactly a common problem... but ios there any way to set the the user character's gender to female?

You mean the manager that represents you in the game? I'm pretty sure there isn't. Unless FMM has a feature to do this, but I don't think so.

That's what I mean, and FMM doesn't do it. Shame. I remember reading there was a way to do it for other people, though I can't remember what it is, and I was wondering if it'd work for the human player.

I don't know of an editor that can edit the human player. Not for any version of FM

FMM can edit the human player but it cant edit this. In the editor there is a thing to make people female but the human player doesn't exist in the pre game editor so it cant be done.
