Do you know MCFM?
MCFM is a famous in-game editor of FM series simlilar to FMM.
It doesn't have released for several years but a Chinese resurrect it!
FMM provides already rich editing functions to us but it has no filtering function example for finding players by current ability or findng by potential ability.
But MCFM provides "Search by filter" function so it can be an alternation of Genie Scout until Genie Scout released.

Because it only provides Chinese interface, you had better see below images.

First in same way of FMM, you start MCFM in Game and press load button of MCFM.
It will take one or two minutes so wait in patience.
When loading is completed, you can find a club or a player like FMM. (It has a bug that it can't find some players.)

Omitting editing function, we examine "Search by filter" function.

Press "search by filter" button then Image 2 will apeear.

Let's search players under 20 and more than 175 potential ability.
Write down conditions, and press OK button.
Then result will appear like Image 3.

OKay, it works as a good scout utility!

MFCM08 requires .NET Framework 2.0 and Football Manager 8.0.1.
I don't have used it as editor, so use as your own risk when edit.

It looks interesting.

I don't think I'll bother with it as long as it's in chinese though.
I hope they'll make a english version too.

It doesn't work for me. When I press the load button a message box pops up and then the program quits.

That is because you installed the game in another folder than cprogram files\...\football manager 2008.

Thanks for the info! Unfortunately I've got the same issue as Oskarsson. FM installed to default directory but I get a pop up box then the program shuts itself down.
Looks good so I'd be very grateful for any help!

this program seems very good, it's scouting capabilities seems very nice, hovewer i don't speak chinese. Does anybody could contact author and ask for english version?
