Please use this thread only for question about the scout. What I say is that now it can only read savegame from 8.0.1 no edited database, there are also some errors that must be fixed and Genie is working to set it compatible with all version of the game.I'm sure that Genie is working very hard on this project,so I hope not to see bad comments about him.

The last Genie thread was closed because of abuse, spam etc. So why you feel it is necessary to create another one is beyond me.

he said he won't put a timescale on release due to him not meeting the last date he set and probably the abuse he got for not having it ready at that time. So i would suspect the next update will be the release of the program, which is a wise choice imo!

There is no reason to close the thread. It is interesting that it is in testing. Maybe Genie could just release the version that doesn't work with edited databases so we at least have something and then when he figures out how to make it work with edited database then he can release a new version.

Thank you Marco, It's really a good news for us.

Thank you to let us know the work is almost done. So I can deliver this message to other Chinese fans who can't wait anymore now.

I think it's the same for all the Genie supporters: silence made us really sad, any new message will make us happy and full of hope for weeks...

Please not shut this thread. We're getting good news from Genie team, right? Let the good news keep being post here. I believe the good news can make these rubish words out of here

If genie release it now. Many fans who don't read the realse note maybe post lots of bug report on this problem. I guess these message really annoying the developpers.

Maybe Genie could make an alert when loading the database. Like" you are using an edited database, this is not supported in current version." So the careless people won't complain anymore and they'll wait for the next version patiently.

Yeah I'd keep this thread open, unless it starts to degenerate.

No need to be too arbitrary.

### FACTS:
1- Michael Nygreen did a great job making the first scouts.
2- He gave you the main code for free so that you could upgrade it for each FM versions.
3- You also did a great job in the last scouts.
4- But now FM is different and you are having some problems with the new scout's code.
5- You say it is FREEWARE and that you're spending you free time in it.
6- You established a release date but the delay shows that alone you're going anywhere...

### SOLUTION:
1- Free the scout's code turning it OPEN SOURCE and allow everybody to help and upgrade it.
[or]
2- Contact SIGames/Sega developpers to give you some support (and maybe we will see a native scout in FM2009).
[or]
3- Do both!
^ Genie's lastest comment on his site.
