Default All American leagues in a ladder format

Hi,

I have made many minor changes using the editor in the past, but I have not ever made a huge league swap like this.

As I am frustrated that I cannot play in all the US leagues in FM08, just like in the previous years, I have decided to make a ladder version of the US leagues, to swich with the English one.

Although I will need to create new teams, I started last night, by just placing every team in the right league, but Array Access error appeared, as I had not placed in previous divisions and previous finish, so that is to be done.

If anyone would like to help, offer support, or even request for the download when it has been finished, feel free to comment.

A little update:

It has been suggested that I actually set all American teams to Canadian nationality, and have a joint North American league, as that would help buy more foreign players, and be rid of the strong hardcoding the English teams would have to face. Still, everything should work the same, and really, the US leagues already have some Canadian teams in anyways...

I'm not sure how many US (and Canada) teams there are, but can you fill all the English leagues to a decent level, so that you don't have English teams being promoted to an active league?

Maybe another league would be a more suitable choice - I'm thinking Scotland maybe? Closed system, 42 teams... Could be a better choice - and there must be plenty of other leagues that could be viable. It's just in the English league, there are the 92 teams... and then those in the conference (another 70 or so) and then the three divisions below that (another 70 or so teams...) if you want it to be 'sealed' with only US/Canadian sides.

If you do not do last position/division for at least the Premiership(1st tier) to the 3rd Division(4th tier), the game will crash when attempting to seed the league cup.

If you don't set at least last season's winners for the Premiership and FA Cup, the game will crash when attempting to set up the Charity Shield.

Another Update for today:

The edit has reverted to an USA/Scotland swap, instead of the innitial Canada/Scotland swap.

The MLS first division contains all of the current MLS teams, apart from Toronto FC, who will start in the USL1.

Hehe, Toronto starting in USL1. Well, they deserve it, after my team (Portland Timbers, USL1) beat them in a friendly 4 to 1 this October.

Anyway, this is awesome, and I can't wait for it. Quick question, will the teams still have the American/Canadian nationalities or will they have Scottish.

Are you going to add team logos at any point, by chance? I know the kits will be difficult, but I don't think logos are too bad. You should at least do it for USL1

-Testing shall begin later tonight
-Screenshots should hopefully be posted (If there are no problems) tommorow
-Nationalities will initially all be US, and I should add Canadian, Peurto Rican and Bermudan nationalities in aswell to the respective teams
-The North-Eastern Conference has been selected out of a hat to be added to the PDL (More in my initial summary to be posted tonight)

Thats all for now.
