Hi there,

Can anyone tell me how I can create, or edit the flag of a nation. Or where can I find instructions? I would love to do this because I want to create my own country (using Monaco which does excist in the editor). Who can help me?

It's not possible to create a new nation.

You can rename a dormant nation (i.e. Burma) in the pre-game editor. Remember to change the reputation from 0 to make it active, also assign a continent to it.

Created Nothern Cyprus myself, but does anybody know how to assign a flag to a country, so that it wont get the Myanmarese flag representing the country?

Actually, the country I was gonna 'create' is on of the northern Dutch Islands where I come from. I don't wanna use Monaco as a country because it will give me French names I guess. It's gonna be Sint Maarten which I will sacrifice, so I will get Dutch names...

If you want the nation to have dutch sounding names then change the national language to Dutch, simple! For graphics, go to the folder containing the flags (can't remember it off the top of my head coz I'm at work but I know it exists) then replace the one already saved.

The main downside of your nation is that becuase they have no history FM see's them as the equivilant as say Faroe Islands (i.e crapola) and you will end up seeing scores like 8-nil against them. The only way around this is to either be the national manager yourself, or watch the games.

Why did they remove the create a nation thing for FM08 editor? Or am I imagining that it was there in FM07.

nah, it was never there mate. I know coz I built a nation called Monaro based on the area in southern NSW

You sure? I am talking about patched FM07. Because I know people made a new country and if you added that country to Europe them eventually that country would get into the qualification for WC and Euro. If you put it in another continent without removing a country it usually ****ed it up but Europe allowed for extra countries.
