positive mate, replaced west germany for my nation.

europe was by far the easiest to use. had to watch the nation play a few times before they turned out ok. took about 10 years to become a medium size force (beating nations like austria, still loosing to italy).

So are you saying the simulated matches are determined by history or something? That cant be right. Surely a serious problem with FM?

hmm i'd like to bring in either Gibraltar or Kosovo (who are going to be independant from serbia soon) into UEFA but its not possible to assign players as the nationality of "Kosovan" or "Gibraltan" is not recognised. shame. stil, if you do bring in these teams like Burma are they able to take part in the world cup qualifiers etc? surely not, as UEFA's is set up for 53 teams not anymore so it'd make the game crash anyway surely if you had too many countries for a region?

Well in FM07 Uefa was the only one where you can add an extra country and it would work. For the other continents you would have to swap it with another country. I dont know if you can still do this in Uefa.

you can assign the players to these nationalities..

But hé, I can't find the map in which I have to replace the flags. There's nothing like 'skins'

I'd assume this was the case, a nation with no footballing history isn't going to suddenly be a superstar nation!

To memory (i really should have brought my laptop in today!) it's not in the skins folder, there's a folder called flags or nations, can't remember which and it's located there. Another way of finding it would be to use the search function on comp, and have it look for a TLA for a nation coz that's what the flags are named after.

So the quality of players doesnt matter? If we filled the team with players that have CA of 200 they would still lose? That is ****ed up.

sadly yeah, if you watch the games, or manage them yourself it's ok, then they play well. so there is ways around it.

Like my Basque team with players like Arteta or Alonso get beaten 0-6 by Liechtenstein, and even Ballack can't help East Germany stop mighty Hong Kong from winning 0-4 in friendly. But if you manage the national team, you can surely reverse the scoreline and double it although the match preview will still say "Hong Kong won't even have to be at their best to beat East Germany".
