What is the difference between first team and rotation status? i consider backup to act as cover, rotation to act as cover for first team players when they are tired or dont have good fitness
how many games do you give to each position to satisfy them? im having problems with rotation policy
I always use Squad rotation for all players except my goalie, he gets to be important first team player.
I think they need to play regularly when considered rotation players.
3-4 games a season is not enough for them.
I use 20 players and make sure they play about the same amount of games and never had any problems with angry players.
Usually they end up playing 20-30 games each.
Key/Indespensible - Almost every game
Important First Team Player - most games
Squad rotation - Half of the games will do
Backup - Backup, maybe once every 3-4 games
i use 'first team' for my first teamers (obviously!) who play 90% of matches, but the squad players who are usually subs are stuck with 'rotation' and the old wont-you-use-instead-of-an-emergency players get backup and they hardly get games.
I give everyone the loverst squad status they will accept a contract for (or I think they will accept a contract for).
My reasoning is that a squad roation player who playes every game and then gets dropped is usually still happy, wheras if I bumped them up to important or key, they'd get upset about it (I have quite a high turnover of players, so squad status would be changing all the time).
I have about 4 players which play almost every match who are still listed as hot prospects.
I only have 3 players in the squad listed higher than squad rotation, as usually the demand for higher status is accompanied with one for higher waes. While I usually accept the offer of these players getting too big for their boots, I'm also aware that it's time to sell.
