Conceptual Diagram Symbol Libraries

"The IAN symbol libraries contain over 1000 custom made symbols (in 28 categories) designed specifically for enhancing science communication skills for the graphically challenged."

You have to see these to believe them. In order to be allowed to download them a registration is required. There are two download files available for Windows or Mac. The smaller (about 10 mbs) are just the symbols, the larger is about 36 mbs and the server speed isn't the fastest. The larger includes a searchable index and tutorials. These are for Illustrator CS (and maybe 10, I forget.)

Although I've had this set of graphics for some time, I have to say that it's a beautiful collection that is so useful, and appropriate to many of my professional projects.

The IAN Symbols Library was updated yesterday. It now has 1,500 symbols and a swatch library. The Mac d/l was 31.1mb and worth every byte. If you've already registered, only a login with your e-mail address is required. If you have any browser software which blocks filtered content (not ad blockers) turn it off for the site to work properly. Here's a sampler...
