Moltas

A post by Mark about Norman Rockwell made me think of national icons. I am from Sweden and can't really tell if Norman is one of the big painters in america but I guess he is. I wonder what different painters have made their mark in different countries?

I think that these painters in many ways have changed the way we (the swedes) look at our country and ourselfs. It would be fun to see what painters others countries/regions have, or what painters you think of (if any) when you think of sweden/scandinavia.

Interesting thoughts, I enjoyed your links even if I don't speak the lanugage, the pictures need no interperation.

I know about Larsson (his influence has been massive) and Zorn but I was not familiar with Liljefors. He seems to work wonders with light on canvas.
