I usually prefer to play as national team manager, but there is still things missing in the game, that I think would make it better!
Things I miss, would like is :
1.Shirt numbers for international matches, not only tournements.
- Would it not be possible to give the players shirt numbers when you are asked to confirm your squad for next match(es).
2.Choose venue/stadium when arrange home friendly.
- most countries have a national stadium where they play their WCQ games, but very often they play home friendlies at other stadiums/cities, when they meet minor nations.
This could also raise you popularity with the fans, give the people outside the capitol the option the see the national team.
3.Better media and player interaction.
-when you take over a national team I miss queastions like:
-wich players will you build the team around?
-wich formation do you want your team to play?
-will you play diffrent away from home?
-possible to tell players and key players that you want to rest them for next match(es), without players to get angry for not been picked.
Sometimes I like to only pick Home Based players, just for see how they play.
Media should also ask why certain players are left out of the squad, and we should be able to explain/tell why, like: - I want to try other/younger/home based players - They are rested for the forthcoming WCQ matches - This is only a friendly, when WCQ matches are coming, he will be picked - etc....
its quite a cool idea that .. usually you end up wit a number 7 right back and sat wonderin why and some stadiums you dont think you should be playing ther i totally agree :thup:
How about if a player gets injured and doesn't get picked for a friendly you get the message about him being "left out in the cold" that would be nice.
Hmm, I dont think the manager would choose the stadium the national team will play at, but I would like the Fa of that country to do so and then for the country and fans to give feedback.
Couple this with a multitude of stats for each stadium (goals, win ratios for each of the national stadias) and I do like the sound of that.
