Default Bring Back The 2005 Training System

I miss the system created by Ray Houghton. It was a lot easier to make sense of. I don't enjoy setting up training for my team with the 'slider system'.

I agree.

Although it's confusing, it seemed more intuitive than the slider system.

An improved 05 training module which is clearer on what each aspect of training does would be an excelent improvement, in my opinion.

Please god no.

I hated that overly complicated system and the current one's much better in my opinion.

You never knew where you were at with the old one.

it needs work definitely, but i found it more enjoyable and realistic to set my players to 5 a side in the morning, weight training in the afternoon etc.

Much better then setting sliders from 1 to 20 anyway...

No way. The 05 training was dreadful.

It was a good concept but too impractical to implement.

It ended up being an overly complicated version of the slider system.

If they were to implement it properly, it would be very hard to program.

who cares how hard it is? customers shouldn't sympathize i think

and it is common knowledge that the current system is not realistic. the previous modules were no good either.

I didn't like the 05 version, much prefer the slider thing.

Not sure the best way for them to do it, in reality you would have more feedback from the staff on what individual players need to work on, when to stop pre season training, i.e. a week before the first league game or on the day of the first game etc.

The problem is you can too little or too much control, too much and it can get confusing and tiresome, too little and the players may not improve in the areas you want them too.

On thing that i feel could and should be added for training is team building exercises, like paintballing etc, things that you hear about clubs doing once or maybe twice a season, or taking them away for some sun in the middle of winter to boost their happiness.

I think it would be impossible to program realistically.

For example if the players did cross country in the morning. Then realistically they would be tired for the mid day session. So you would have a lighter session for the rest of the day.

Or certain sessions may work better at certain times of the day/week. For example the players may concentrate for the tactic based exercises in the afternoon. And you would have to have the right combination of fun/serious exercises or skills/team exercises.

And it would also affect their condition during the week. It could be recovery post match then intense training then light training before the match.

It would be a nightmare to program that complexity. Because each training session in the day would have an impact. And multiply that by every single team in the game.
