Just because you've got plenty of money to pay the players wages doesn't mean the board will be happy to pay ridiculous wages to one player just because he's your star player.

That said, I do think that we should be able to interact with our board more and tell them that if we are unable to meet our star players demands then we will lose him. I see no problem in the board not wanting to pay more then a set amount, but we should at least be able to challenge them over this decision.

His expectation of pay is dropping slowly, and I may be able to meet it near the end of the season if it keeps dropping steadily.

As for adjusting my transfer budget, that is totally broken. I have 750,000, and for a player of his calibre, 125,000 isn't going to be enough. I also believe 175,000 is a lot... However, 125,000 is always going to be a struggle with a young player of this level of calibre.

What gets to me, is a manager of calibre such as mine, who would be probably the most succesful manager ever in 4 years in the real world (I know in game terms there are more skilled than me, though a lot cheat by buying out all the to-be Gods by pre-knowledge), would be given a huge amount of control over what was going on, I feel that I'm being treated like a fool...

I would also like to be able to tell the board, that if I won't be allowed to resign player X or if chairman sells someone over my head, that I want the short- and longterm expectations lowered accordingly.
