I was wondering if this was possible. i know the likes of Peter Taylor and Stuart Pierce combined it with club management. I've never really looked at international management in FM. If it's not possible it should be next time. It would be a good way of building up your reputation. Any ideas?

You can, but it requires unconventional means.

Add a new manager as the manager of the national team, and fire the U21 (or U-18) coach if there is one. Then, you can offer the position of U21-manager to your original manager.

After that you can retire the created manager or do whatever the hell you want.

So in my current game I could add a manager, fire the U21 coach appoint myself and then I would be the manager. Hmm, does sound unconventioanl but I shall try, thanks

Yes it would. Doing well with the U21s would increase your rep.

Just last sunday in our clangame:
Got the national job of Holland offered. declined it.
Got the Holland U19 job right after that offered. declined it as well btw.

You can get offered the job in the game as well, i was once offered the U20's job.
