If there weren't these stupid work permit issues, I would've long ago signed multiple exceptional talents for my Northern Irish Premier Division side GLEBE Rangers and would be progressing rounds in Europe.

It is impossible to sign any non-EU players, because the AI does not call them up to the national sides. If I could sign them, they would turn into regular internationals, damn it.

Britain is the worst place to develop your football team. Everything works against you.

It can definitely be annoying... remember you do still have a wide range of countries you can get players from without having work permit issues...

well, all that has to happen is for any player to have been in the EU long enough to be eligible for citizenship and it doesn't matter. when I'm managing in england i have the 'EU national' nationality setting in the player search filter, and most players come up anyway, so it only deprives you of the younger ones really who haven't been in the EU (where the top level leagues are anyway so the best players will be there as well) long enough.
