There have been quite a few bugs that have bothered me in Fm06 for the 360, but none of them have been any real nusanse. Until now, I have been playing a save game with Man Utd I had just finished season 5 after winning it all, and I was looking forward to getting the achivement points for all the 5's. 5 seasons at a club, 5 and so on. I am also manage of England and I managed to win the Wc this year, a short while after I had won the Wc my internet connection dropped, I didnt bother with and kept on playing, after 30 min I decided to reconnect to live, I pushed the guide button and tried to connect, I got an error message about the connection. No big deal, I decided to play some more and then save and restart the 360. But after I had tried to connect to live I realized something was wrong, it suddenly hit me, that there was no manager in the game, my manager that had been managing man utd for 5 years had dissapeared! I tried to restart to console and load the save again, and there is no manager, and I try to add myself again, I start as a new manager and I have lost the 5 seasons I played So now if I want to get them again it seems that I have to play for 5 more seasons with a "new" manager or stop playing. I am gutted at the moment, I really wanted to get all 1000 points for this game, I am up to 804. But this is too much. So I ask a question I have already asked, why isint this game updated for the 360? There are several bugs in it. For example I have had a player unhappy for 4 seasons. He is unhappy that he didnt get to play enough games in season 1, and since then he doesnt want to sign a new contract, the only prob is since season 1 he has played over 180 games for me in 4 seasons. Doesnt quite seem right, and he isint even the only one. I see it with other players, both with me and other teams.

I cant understand why SI isint using Live. Other great games like FM have used it, to fix bugs like theese. Both the 360 and psp version see, to have shipped with some bad bugs, I am a bit worried. Is this how the console versions will be?

The pc version has always been good, and even if a showstopping bug has appeared, SI have always been great in their support with the game. I know the reasons why the psp isint updated and that is Sony's fault. But what about the 360?

I have sunk countless hours into the 360 game, only to see it up in smoke. If this would have been on the pc I at least would have had a spare auto-save to go back to. Mabye it´s just my fault for not making a backup save. I really didnt think I would need it.

I have all the Cm/Fm games that have been made by SI on Pc, psp, xbox and Xbox 360. So I count myself as a loyal supported of SI. But as it stands I wont buy any console versions again, not if this will be the way they are handeld.
If the pc version stays the same, I will probably get it, like every year.

I know this is a long rant, but after seeing my work dissapear, it just intensified my dissapointment in SI's support of the 360 game. I know I am not the only one here that feel this way.

Like so many other I had major problems with the online part of the game. The responce I got from Si was it was my fault and my Isp's fault. I found that answer to be bad. Since I have over 16 360 games(not counting the Arcade ones) and over 55 original Xbox games, and every single one of them play wll online, and the one's that have had their problems. Have had patches to them to fix it. So it is strange that when I played G.r.a.w, prey, FarCry, Perfect Dark and so on and my on-line was perfect. And when I tried to play Fm I couldnt. 1 game is a oddity, 2-5 would be something else.

Ok that's it from me. I still love SI to bits. And I will try to support them as I can, but now I will have to wait before I buy their console versions. I cant anymore it seems buy them untested and unseen.

And that really makes me sad

I think its the fact that SI are usually so good at supporting their games that makes the lack of support for the 360 version so disappointing. I can only assume that this version was only a "test run" and that the next one will be fully supported on Live, remember that Microsoft did say they didnt want Live to turn into a patching service.

I am hoping that you are right, even though making us be a sort of gunea pigs is not my idea of fun. If Fm 07 will be a proper Live game and fully suported by SI I will probably buy it, but not until few weeks after launch and I can see if that will be true or not.

I know Microsoft's position, but games ARE patched on live, look at G.r.a.w, Burnout Revenge, Call Of Duty2, Uno and so many others. Expecially if they have either bugs in the netcode or showstopping bugs. For example Cod2 was unplayable online until they patched the game. Now it´s one of the best online games for the 360. So that point for me at least is a bit weak as a responce to not fixing the game.

I would have been happier if SI said, "we are releasing this game as it is! And we will not fix it" That at least would have been near the truth of the situation.

I was really hoping that Sega's buy of SI would help them to grow their games and their already fantastic support, witch SI have been famous for.

Hopefully Fm 2007 will be a watershead in that remark.

i think the stance SI took was a good one

they said prior to the release that the game would not be able to patched, and i understand why

the PC version was patched several times, and even though it was very stable at release, it fixed minor issues people had,

and then after all the patches it was then converted to 360, they are identically the same game

so they would see any reason to patch the game,if they had allready done, on the PC version

My point is that they should be open to patching FM2007, and supporting the version,since it was poorly supported first time round

i think the new version will be improved after all they will have assesed feedback etc

it was there first attepmt,and it was more about getting to grips and making it a good game,which they both are

Er canly only hope that SI will do a better job next time. I understand what you said, but there is one thing that I have to mention. The 360 is quite diffrent from a Pc, the game may be the same, but the hardware is not. There were many errors in the 360 version that were not in the final pc version.

could you name me specific problems,that wernt in the pc version,but in the 360

saying online,achievements doesnt count as that is something that the PC doesnt have,but are problems maybe present in 360

One thing that is really apparent is players get really fast unhappy if the cant play, even if they are a bit player. That is not in the latest pc version. I can name a few more

That's weird as they are both from the same codebase so there shouldn't be any 'gameplay' flaws in one and not the other.

The only real differences are in the GUI, which is just basically a modified skin with a different control system (not quite, but that's the easiest way of explaining it)

I am not a big fan on complaining. I have been a big fan of Si since Cm2. I just hope that Fm 07 will have better online and ability to update the game if the need arises.

I can understand your frustrations with what you are used to with the PC version regarding updates/patches etc.
