Using a team in the Australian league means youll never really be able to become a huge club. The financial model in the game is pretty poor in my opinion, if you have £25 million in the bank and you have a big wage budget some of that should be allowed to go on wages. This is a problem which has been talked about for a long time but there doesnt look like being anymore financial flexibility in FM07. I remember a similar situation I had in a previous version, using Leigh RMI I got promoted to league 2 in England and lost in the FA Cup Final to Liverpool who were in the Champions League so I got into the UEFA Cup. I had 2 million in the bank so youd think Id be able to improve the squad. Well I got 1 million transfer budget and a SMALLER wage budget. I just thought stuff this and took the Crewe job.
