will the leagues improve when the coƫfficients of that country go up when you win the CL or UEFA CUP a lot with a lower league team?
e.g.:
country: Belgium
team: RSC Anderlecht
in the first season you'll have some competition because a few more teams like club brugge, standard and genk can cause resistance.
but after 2 seasons you'll be able to buy some great players and than you kick ass against every team in your league.
RSC Anderlecht has improved, they're known continental or worldwide, won UEFA CUP or even champions league, but the other teams in the belgian first division keep buying sucky players, don't win anything, don't have any transfer money availale, etc...
so where is the challenge in playing a lower league if you 're in a league that doesn't evolve.
after 3 or 4 seasons you're fed up with winning everything in the first division and maybe the CL or UEFA CUP too... so we start all over again...
so my question is: can a lower league like the belgian league turn into a league comparable too the premier or spannish league after a while?
with more TV money, cup money, championship money, better team reputations, etc...
If you start to dominate in Europe there should be a slight rise in the league/country reputation which will lead to better youth players which should then lead to the other teams improving. This is a very slow process though.
that country doesn't have to be dominant right away... but the sad thing is there will be no more competition because you get all the prizemoney and the other teams keep on struggling with their low transferbudget + they keep on buying worthless players to compete against the dominating team.
so there must be some slight improvement i think, because otherwise it's not fun playing in that league anymore.
so the AI of the boardmembers and the manager should improve as well as soon as they notice they'll have to improve their squad to compete against the other team(s).
It might be possible if you take over multiple clubs (not necessarily all at the same time).
If you took over Anderlecht and play for 5 years with them and then go to Club Brugge, then you'd have a 2nd team to make "big". If you succeeded doing that (and Anderlecht did not fall back right again) then you could go to Lierse and do it all again. After 15 years having 3 European topteams. (Again, if all earlier teams can keep at least 75 % of the standard you brought them.) If you continue having success while doing this you would probably have 5 or 6 big teams after 25 - 30 seasons. Your competition would then be high standard and your league could easily challenge the big teams in Europe.
I don't know if it works this way, but I suppose it could be like this.
