There is a way. Go to fixtures and click B i think. Then from there it is self explanatory.

Go to your fixtures screen, below the list of fixtures there is an option to create a friendly. You will need to select the date and opposition, it can be a one off friendly or a friendly league or cup, you can also select whether you are home or away if its a one off match and for home matches you can choose to offer the opponents money to come.
