Is there an easy way to delete several of the History lines all at once without getting rid of all the History.
I've been dragging each line to the trash bin but it's slow going if you have a lot to get rid of.
Well sometimes I do a bunch of cloning or using some other tool and then I find I didn't much like what I did so rather than keep on adding more actions. I'd rather keep my history list as short as possible.
I also delete my history when painting. What I do is when I get to a stage I like I make a new snap shot and work from there, then make another new snap shot and so on.Next I reduce snapshots, can save you a lot of time not having to reduce history actions one by one
From the history palette choose history option and check the Alloe non-linear history option this should makes delete certain states.
CS users now can create a metadata, text or both it will record every single step you do from opening to closing:
choose Edit > Preferences > General. In Mac OS, choose Photoshop > Preferences > General History log section.
