Well considering the save game thing is only effecting a small number of people Si will have to attempt to recreate the bug first and then they'll need to find out what is causing it. Since it's only come to light on release expecting them to find it, find out why its only effecting certain people and then find a solution. Then on top of this the patch has to go to Microsoft first to be tested. And you expect them to do all this in two weeks?

Is this bug youre talking about the same one that used to affect FM06, namely that when you save a game, the next time you try to load it, it says 'Game Cannot be Loaded' or 'File Corrupt' or something like that?

Some idea of how long we could expect it to take would be nice. I've spent £40 on something that is so broken as to be next to useless, but because the fault is with the software rather than the DVD itself, I'm going to struggle to get my money back.

Would be nice to know that SI are actually putting some effort into fixing it - and how long it might take - instead of some old flannel about saving every two minutes.

Usually I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to games - if it crashes every now and then I don't get straight onto the web to bleat about it. But this is totally different - this is a fundamentally f-ked game that I've paid good money for. Am I supposed to just write off the £40 for the next couple of months?

No - with this, the game just refuses to save your game, and then as an added bonus, it corrupts your most recent save game file.
