I have one league running (England) and small database. I have 8gb left on my HD. I have started new games but every time I try to save, this error message comes up.

Hope you will fix it soon.

I have tried both set-up basic and custom, incase it was isolated to one setup type. It fails on both.

I have managed to get it to save, then fail. Of course once it has failed to save it's a right off.

I set up a new game under basic, 1 nation England, all leagues, choose southampton as fav team. Selected to play southamption.

Once intial setup done saved ok.

Setup 3 training schedules saved ok.

Promoted same playes from reserve squad to senior to build senior squad upto 22 plays for friendly games(preseason)
allocated team positions excluding subs plus training schedules to about 6 players.
Set upsame tactics, captain, free kick takers, corner takers etc took about 35-40 mins
tried to save, got message cannot save game.
exited game then restarted
tried to load game, but of course now corrupt and won't load.
Size of saved game file 76mb.
Tried with and without saving preferences

I was using a custom setup with ten leagues from ten nations - Belgium, The Netherlands, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil.

Just managed to get it to fail - recorded all my steps

1. Used new game wizard
selected England only - All leagues - next - next
(Setup db processing)

2.Add manager
create profile - enter name - changed dob (7/6/61) - entered name of fav team - selected team from list - choose England championship southampton
added manager
add another manager no
SAVED GAME OK

Goto team squad page
reallocated B.Biakowski to reserve squad
using A - Right Trigger RT - move to

Squad - Reserves
Promote
K millar
D Belmadi
N Dyer

Thank you, I will try and see if this reproduces on a testkit in the morning.

Until we can figure out what the problem is I urge you all to use multiple saves, so if a save corrupts at any point, you can restart and load the backup save and not lose your career.

So for example,

I used my personal save and the autosave which should've saved weekly.

When trying to save it said something like "Can not save". I just kept playing 'till I got the autosave and again I got the same message. Then I tried to open up new saves but again I got the message. When trying to load the game to before the part where I couldn't save anymore... It wasn't able to load any of the previously made saves.

Yeah I have the same problem, I am in February in my scond season and doing well.
