Default Do we (&SI) need a year off from FM?

Hi all,

As english is not my native language can anyone tell me what masking is used for and maybe can point me to some nice tutorial where masking is used ?

oh and what does "feather" means ?

"Feathering" refers to the softening (or fading out) of object edges; whether pixel or vector based.
