In my 360 game as Inter Milan I have about 12 scouts out over all parts of the world - some to specific nations and some to regions.

However, most of them won't find any players even if I send them there for a year. They invariably say they've finished after a month, and they've found no players.

For example, I have sent scouts to the following places:

Italy, Spain and England - did a full search and found some players

Brazil - Scout returned having found nobody
Argentina - As above
Scandinavia - " "
West Africa - " "
Oceania - " "
Eastern Europe - Found 1 player, Jaromir Blazek


Now if the only players found had been in Italy, I could understand that the reason is because I am only running Serie A b(I wanted the game to run quickly) and surely the same database still loads.
However, I am not running leagues from England or Spain yet the scouts sent there still managed to find some players, so I don't see how this can be related to leagues being run.

I find it incredible that scouts with 17's for judging ability and potential are unable to find a single player in the whole of Brazil and Argentina.

Does anyone know what could be causing this, or if I really do need to have the leagues running?

Maybe its to do with the scouts knowledge of the country they are scouting. Its a new thing in the game this year isn't it?

I think it may have something to do with which leagues you are running.

in my first game i was only running english leagues and could only ever find players who played in those leagues - eg if i looked at the Hibs 1st team they would all be greyed out unless the player was from England.

now I'm running 10 leagues and last night when searching for available players i was getting players of all kinds of nationalities :-)

ye i only ran one league for my first ever game and most of the players are blanked out....its not so fun....for the next game i will make sure that i pick the 10 leagues.

maybe for next game it would be an idea to allow people to change this mid way through a game?

isnt sending scouts out more about the knowledge?
if you look on the player search screen scouts will have given star recommendations to players from countrys you sent them to, without telling you on other screens.
