I have it on the pc and 360 and i tend to play the 360 version more as it is a lot quicker than the pc version only downside is that the 360 version has database set to small and it can't be changed other than that its the same as the pc version.
I got fm07 for xbox because my pc is pretty ancient, and it would take a minor miracle for my pc to support just 10 leagues with a normal database. I had the demo to compare with, and xbox is much faster, so With xbox i dont have to worry about processing time, and i can play with 10 leagues (altho only with a small database). I read in one other review, sorry i cant quote directly, but they said that the xbox version processes 3 to 4 times faster than a high end pc.
Overall, i think the pc version is obviously much cleaner, and overall looks much better. Im not a fan of the gross looking grey tabs, and the pitch and players are much to small on the xbox. Im still a fan of the mouse and keyboard, but ive had no problem adjusting to the controller, which seems to be a problem blown out of proportion.
Anyways, it all depends on what your looking for. Speed, or aesthetics. Xbox in my opinion is what you want to run a decent amount of leagues and at a good pace. PC version is what you want if you like the clean look, and large databases, and the free roam of the mouse.. I do warn you not to base your judgement on mouse v. controller, as the controller is very easy and intuitive to use once you get used to. and one other thing to note, do you like to laze on your couch, or be sittin up in a computer chair? food for thought.
If you do have a very highend pc, than i suggest the pc version, as im even a bit more biased towards pc, and sometimes find myself wishing i could have my pretty version of fm07 back...BUT, then again, ive never played through a campaign so fast before.
ooo thats a question that could receive alot of cynical responses. I never played 06 on xbox, so im not sure about any updates they may have received. And i havent gotten any updates for 07 version yet either. (i dont think i got an update when i first booted up the game) Their are problems with corrupted saves, that people have been cryin to have fixed, so si will eventually have to patch that, just a question of when. Just make sure you have 2 saves. i have 3. 2 regular saves, then another every 6 monthes.

Eventually? Yeah, that patch will be called FM 2008! I doubt that we will have any support for FM 2007. It´s almost two months since I got the game and I´m still having this saving issue. I log onto this messageboard every day to see if SI has posted something about it.
I mean, look at the top of the Xbox 360 page:
"Football Manager 2006 Xbox 360 - Release date 13th April 2006"
That shows how much they care about this game and how often they look at this messageboard.
see what i mean with the cynical response... but ya, its true and the evidence is there to support, well, the lack lack of support. Interesting thought tho, id be happy to know that si is working hard on a patch, rather than wasting a precious week or two giving the website an overhaul, altho im sure its not much of a problem changing a few banners and text around. I havent had a corrupt save yet, crossing fingers, but i havent had game as long as others, so 07 is all good with me, for now.

haha that does say it all
there is no support with the game,i thought i made a break through with a disgruntled thread in which some si people posted in (which is very rare to say the least) but over a month has past and nothing.....at all
i dont think i really can give them any excuses apart from its not a priority of theres
i dont know why though
i wouldnt even care aslong as they said that...but they dont, the defend themselves...which just gives false hope for us paying the £40 on this format!
all that on the side, its a decent game that could be...and should be....so much better
this platform will never be successfull for si unless they pull there finger out and do something inovative with the 360. end
