I have just finished my frst season and was expecting the assit managager to organise some friendlies but he has'nt , so i stopped him controlling friendlies and tried to do it myself, but the game would'nt let me. So i loaded it up again(with my assit man controlling friendlies) and when a friendly was organised it got cancelled without me being able to choose if i wanted to play or not. I really need an answer as my players aren't match fit. Am i missing something obvious or is this yet another bug.

i had the same problem my assistant didnt organise any either.

Not sure about the assistant manager thing but I've always been able to arrange friendlies through the fixtures screen.

The only thing I did notice was when I tried to arrange multiple friendlies sometimes it would only arrange the nearest game and forget the others.

can someone tell me where the fixtures screen is for definite, i think i'm doing it wrong. is it the screen that shows the name of the next manager your going against or is it somewhere else.

also would my players be able to win games despite lacking match fitness, and how long would it take the main 11 players to gain match fitness.

Go into your team name eg Rangers and then there is an option to go into reserves etc and fixtures is there and then go in press X and arrange the friendlies.
I find some get cancelled due to the beginning of the season being too close to it.

click on your 'team name' then click 'squads' and this gives you fixtures go there. Press x and you have arrange friendly screen.

I find that it takes 2-3 games for most players and maybe 4 for your players coming back from injuries last season. if you play more than 6 friendlies make sure if they play only 2 that they arent just at the beginning coz they might get unfit again.
