On the last day of the transfer window I bought Vagner Love and Daniel Carvalho from CSKA moscow for about £15 million. I comnpleted the two transfers but only after doing it realised that niether of them had work permits. They have already missed my top of the table clash with Chelsea and my first two champions legue games! i heard you have to loan them to a feeder clubfrom them to get it but how long will this take? Can anybody help me!
Also, was looking at Fred last night and he looks good, is he worth the buy?
Don't worry. You're not alone. I've fallen into this trap myself on a couple of occasions. If you want them to get work permits then you have to send them off to a feeder club before they qualify. Belgium's one where it works, I forget the others. It takes something like three seasons but you'd need someone to confirm that. Unfortunately though, not any player will want to be shipped off on loan in which case you your best bet might be to cash in and be content with the knowledge that you'll learn from your mistakes.
i do believ it is three years, i wanted to try it out so i signed eduardo ratinho from corinthians in brazil, 18 year old never playedfor his country, but guess wot, he got a british permit, so im still waiting to try it out
i have just bought jay jay okocha from qatar and it says he needs a EU work permit but surely as he has played for bolton wanderers he should already have one
havin a work permit in one country and moving between countries within the eu is fine but once that player has gone outside the eu it has to be reobtaied, he obvioously didnt get his british nationlization coz he played for his country whil living here. if he hadnt it wud be 3 yrs but i thnk if he does its 5 yrs, but onoly this country i think
Same thing happened to me when i signed Rafael Sobis from Real Betis for Man Utd, I offered him a new contract after he'd missed the first match and when he agreed and signed he'd got the permit so this might work for you
the hornot, are you sure your affiliated clubs are within the nations that can obtain work permits, you could find this out at your affiliate information section
A quick way you can do it is by sending him off on loan to a club that is foreign, make sure that he is playing regular football and if he is offer him a new contract while he is on loan and if he is able to sign it with no work permit complications then he should be able to play for you when he comes back from loan, and if you want him to come back straigt away just recall him, also if doing this with a british club you should give them a 5 year contract because that's how long it takes for a player to get English nationality. Hope that helps because this is how it works for me.
I had the player Kerlon, at Chelsea for two seasons, sent him off to a spanish club for the third and when he came back he had SPANISH nationality.
