Personally and most recently, after a 2-0 nil lead as Liverpool and cruising to the FA cup win, my adjustment to counter attack, time wasting and slow tempo backfired as i lost 2 goals in last 5 mins and then they took it on pens. Gutted.

probably when i put parnaby in goal by mistake, and not realising til half time when i was 5-0 down, and that was against watford

lol my brother did that sort of thing against me a few years back in a battle of the Milan's (on CM3 or sommit), put his keeper in SW slot by mistake. 4-0 before he knew it lmao

In FM 2006 I bid on a Brazilian defender that was 20's everywhere and was averaging 7's at Roma, so I bid 20 million (at Liverpool) and my scout says the guy isn't good enough to make the team. Are you bloody nuts I say! I sign him and it turns out he really does suck. 6's every game. Now maybe I didn't give him time to settle but I couldn't the way the goals were flying in. I'm surprised the board didn't sack me since I was paying him 90,000 a week to watch the games from the bench.

i hate it when that damn scout report turns out he's right! do u pay more attention to it now? if i think a players got the right stats iv gotta admit i couldnt care less if it says not to sign, i just do it and see

Well i too accidentally put a defender in goals instead of making him a sub. Found out just before i started the game but it was useless as none of my subs were gks so i had to play the game with a defender in goals lol

Only taking one goalkeeper to the African Nations Cup - naturally he got injured just before the semi and my unbeatable Ivory Coast team let in 5 goals to Ghana. The 3rd place playoff was also lost

Probably taking over "cash-strapped" espanyol, and finding out they are in the hole for $20 mil. Two days into the job parma comes in and makes the min release bid for my best defender who's only 19. Of course i try offering a new contract with a higher min release fee, he rejects and i lose him.

So im drowning in debt, the new season starts, and i have 4 first team players whose contracts run out at the end of the season, and my board has reduced the wage budget by 15mil so im now 10 mil over budget and cannot sign any of my key players back. One player is wanted by benfica, but they always bid about 1mil less than im asking for, finally in december i decide to renegotiate for a higher fee, and they go and sign someother player and come back to me saying they arent interested anymore. Jan 2nd comes along and they sign my player on a bosman, great missed out on a few mil and im stuck paying this guys wages for another 6mos.

Oh and going up 3-1 against zaragoza(2nd placed), away from home, and deciding to stay attacking. they scored 2 in the space of 5mins after i scored my 3rd. lost 4-5.

iv defo made a mistake in saving carlos tevez from his west ham nightmare, into my enterprising liverpool team. 13.75m brought me an 18 hour goalscoring drought! now shipping him off2 spurs after only about 25 apps for me
