The good news is that virtually all the problems that have been reported to us with the 360 game have been fixed in code. And a data update is ready to go, alongside a demo too.
The bad news is that there is one issue that is stumping all of us, and there can be no release until ourselves and Microsoft can suss out exactly what is happening, and we can work out a fix, and that's the problem that some users are having occasionally with saving games.
We can't release the title update without this issue being fixed and whilst we still have hope that it can be, and the data update won't work without the title update, at the moment, we are stuck. We're doing everything we can, and will let you know when there is more info - thank you for your patience
Couldn't the problem of corrupted save games just be to do with users corrupting them themselves (by turning the 360 off too early, etc)? Although a few people have reported it I don't think it's everyone.
It's incredibly frustrating to have the update ready but not being able to get our mits on it because of one elusive bug.
Rahmus - I understand your frustration, as we're going through exactly the same thing. But we have to ensure that everyone is happy and getting the best possible experience, and some people won't be able to get that until we've sorted the final issue....
you dont know how much everyone will appreciate it
will the demo come out along side the patch, or is that coming out earlier?
plus the bugs fixed in this patch, does it include all the pc updates..plus any issues with 360, or is it just a 360 specfic patch update ,, i.e little tiny things here and tehre

Yeah, that's understandable. I have to say that this is a good surprise because I wasn't expecting to get any kind of update whatsoever so no matter when it comes it'll be appreciated.

Just one question, I currently don't have internet access at home so can't get on xbox live, even though I'm paying for it.
Would we be able to download it, save it on to disk and then install it on the 360?
Like microsoft do for their updates?
Pretty sure that's not possible. Microsoft only do that for the Backwards Compatible updates, not for Auto Updates.
furney89 - the demo includes latest data, so will come at the same time. We've been holding it back for a few weeks now until we get all the issues sorted, as I don't want the demo to have new data, with the data update not available
The title update should include everything, and specific X360 stuff.
The_hornet - I don't believe that will work, as from my own experience of title updates on other games on my Xbox 360, it starts to download when you boot the game. Do you have any friends local to you that you'd be able to take your 360 round to (which is how one of my neighbours updates his, by bringing it round to my flat!)
Thanks for the update Miles, it is much appreciated
Good luck on sorting out the last issue, we're all dying to get it.
@ Rhamus. Don't talk too fast, I take extreme care of my 360 (wait before turning it off blabla and I also unplug it every time I'm not playing) and I did not have any save issue until... 2 days ago and now I'm stuck and I had to start a new game after putting over 7 days (real time) of hard work into my Lyon squad.
Hopefully you don't get that bug but don't accuse the ones who get it of miss-treating their 360.
