Is this the worst version ever for complaints/problems?
Whether it be inconsistency, bugs, shots to goals ratio, morale etc there seem to be an endless stream of issues and annoyed players.
I don't agree with them all, but I am getting bored trying to find a team that can string one or two results together other than the top few, with no apparent reason as to why things work one minute then fail the next.
Does the sheer number of 'i've cracked the tactics engine' posts in the tactic forum not suggest that there is something wrong, that you need a 1-7-2 or something equally bizarre with farrows, barrows, twists, turns and basically anything to try to break the engine to get a decent few results? Don't most teams irl use a 442 or something remotely similar?
I dunno, just seems a pain in the bum rather than enjoyable any more. And I know I don't have to play it, but I have paid my £25 and would like to actually get some entertainment rather than sheer frustration out of it ... how dare I say that - fussy or what?!?
Personally, having only really played in the championship, I do have problems with keeping a run together, however noticed that its exaclty like that in the championship and even the top teams are getting beat a fair few times so in some aspects I believe it is unrealistic however I also think a lot of people don;t analyse their matches properly such as the oppositions players and always looking at home or away stats of your players such as amount of passes made in contrast to the amount completed is vital for me personally hence a lot miss key pointers to losing games
I disagree i found playing a simple 442 with direct passing and a quick tempo works for most teams and i have managed to string togethether good results consistently.
Without defending the game, those that are first to criticise appear to be the least patient. Impatience normally equates to a lack of analysis, decisions and tactical changes.
Sackable situations aside, there are a lot of annoying niggly things in FM08, but unless you're playing in the very low leagues (where finance is unreal) the game is far better out of the box than any of the previous Football Managers IMO. Still haven't decided on the patch yet, but finance and possibly confidence aside I think it's at least as good as the last three.
