I read today in a belgian newspaper some russion multi-millionair has promised 4 mercedes's to the Croatian players if they would win, one for the goalkeeper and three for the three best players.

In Belgium this is forbidden. Its also very unethical in my opinion. I will be an England supporter tomorrow!
He did offer them the cars but they will not accept them. He made the same offer to another team and it wasnt accepted. I hope that's not your reasoning for pulling for England; because some rich nut offers another team some cars?

Being the devil's advocate- how long would this thread be open, without being closed and directed to OTF, if it had been started by an ordinary forum member?

Also contains news for Scots and Northern Ireland.
Well thanks to Israel you still depends on yourself and not Russia game so you better finish the work Israel did for you </BLOCKQUOTE>

What utter nonsense. What next, Paul Robinson is Croatian following the back pass he let in when we last played; Gerard is Russian for missing the sitter to make it 2-0 against Russia on the plastic pitch, the Israeli goal post was bigger which meant the Russian late shot hit it instead of going in...you're having a laugh mate

I would have thought that England's position in the group was solely down to the amount of games we won and drew so far. If Russian couldn't handle the pressure of playing Israel and failed to collect points then thats their problem

Final positions will be decided after Wednesday's matches.

We'll see if England have the bottle that Russia failed to show....cue the fat lady singing at 10pm Wed evening

England will pass. After the loss of Russia, England will be for sure.

Pity for wales, but they were off long time ago, but great for Spain!

Do you imagine a euro cup without England??
I can, I didn't even notice that England failed to qualify for the USA 94 World Cup

I think that the weakest point in the formation are M.Richards and A.Cole. Srna, Kranjcar and Modric are in excellent form, especially Srna, who will be racing down both flanks. Richards doesn't seem experienced enough to hold him and he did disappoint me in the 6-0 defeat by Chelsea.

I have nothing against the english team but as for the english media they are so hard to listen too at the moment, they set the team up so high and make everyone think they are a better team than they are.
