Dont you think for future editions the cup confidence could be tweaked to show that the board being not so dissapointed to going out early but to a good side. i.e in my everton game i have gone out early in all domestic cups but twice that was away to chelsea, once away to newcastle and the otheraway to spurs (and was lge cup and had fair few youngsters playing)
so waht i am saying is although the board wanted me in QF of lge cup and 6th of FA i had really tricky away ties in each of those and board still vv dissapointed i was not expected to win any of those games.
i know that as i have done well in the league and europe its made up for them but i dont feel right my board having a go at me for loosing away to chelsea??
A good point, i got Wycombe to the 3rd round of the FA Cup and drew Bolton at home with them sitting 12th in the prem. Now it was 0-0 till the 44th minute and they were 2-0 after 60 minutes. As i pushed forward late on they grabbed 2 very late goals.
Of course it's not a great result but the board really went on about how dissapointing the result was and how they understand the fan's massive dissapointment.
