I guess that would be the reason, only it does actually render it pointless when you succesfully complain and nothing happens and the FA 'remain silent'

How many times you have seen the FA take action in favour of the manager after a real life manager complained about the referee in the press?

But i think they should add a feature where the referee can be suspended for a week or so if he has a bad game.

Yeah one of the most stupid / useless features in the game.

Speaking of which I find that most of the media interaction is pretty pointless. I hope that this gets a revamp in FM 2009.
