In my first completed year after installing the patch, I finished 1st in the Second Belgian league with Antwerp. It was close. 3 games before the end, I lost a match, Oostende took over again 1st position. Next game they lost, I had a draw but Kortrijk had a win, so they took over the lead, while my Antwerp was second. At the last game, I won again and Oostende and Kortrijk didn’t. I was champion in my league.

I attracted 3 Manchester United players on loan and I hope they’ll return next year.

Financial spoken, it’s a disaster: Antwerp is 1.8 million Euros in red.

I didn’t buy any expensive players, ‘cause there was almost no money from the start and I respected the salary scheme, however I’m still in big red numbers and the board isn’t liking that at all.

I just finished my last match, so I don’t know yet if I will get extra money for next year. Normally it should.

Now my first impressions on my first completed season:

•It’s much harder as in the past. I don’t win games that easily as in former FM versions.
•I had most problems with the bottom teams and I often lost my matches against them.
•The match engine is awesome. I really like it, it feels and looks pretty realistic.
•I like it that other teams are less interested in my players. In former versions if they played a few games well, half the world tried to buy them.
•Players complain more realistic that they have to play. In the past, also the nitwits demanded a 1st team selection. In my game the nitwits were silent.

Overall, it’s a great game. And I think I’m already addicted after 1 season.

I think (stress, think) this is because the lower teams will play very deep behind the ball tactics against you and you need to pick them apart to beat them, whereas the midtable and high up lot with try to beat you, leaving you to pick them off.

Thats my experience anyway, doesnt sound like you need it if you won the league though!

I'm with Rot Weiss Ahlen, and I've never managed to make any money yet. Its much more realistic at least.
