i cant get the editor to work on my PC, whenever i try to go into it says teh application has failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found. it tells me that re-installing may help but i ahve done this several times and no luck, has any1 else having this problem and even better can anyone help as i want to add myslef to my team as i do every year. sad but true. please help

my girlfriend has the same problem mate i dont know how to fix it -it works fine on my pc but not on her laptop for some reason.

guys, you need to downl;oad that file to make it work. You can get it off the net easily, just google msvcp71.dll and it will list you sites you can download it from

I had similar problem in previous CM/FM version.
The only thing I did is try to find this file in internet (bcs it seems that many programs need this file to run), and put this in the installation folder. And it really worked.
Try to put the keyword "MSVCP71.dll" in google search bar, and you'll find many links that provide download of this file.
A better solution is....to wait official statement from SI :-)

Is that MSVCP71.dll on your pc?

Probably it is.

Maybe you just have to register it by using the regsvr32.exe file in your CWINDOWS\system32 map.

Use it like this way:

regsvr32 MSVCP71.dll
