What is your greatest ever comeback in a game or vice versa - how many goals were you up but still got beat?

I was 3-0 down at Old Trafford playing with Aston Villa and came back to win 4-3 with a John Carew hattrick with his 3rd being in the 92nd minute - Rio conceded a penalty and had the indignity of getting sent off hahaha!

i wan using Newcastle with a 4-1 leader over Spurs... I slowed dwn the tempo in the 75min.. the score immidietly become 4-4 - -? Than i switch back to my default tempo and immidietly score and final result is 5-4 ? OMG? The new 8.0.1 patch is just ridiculous :thdn:

I decided to try something different, something I'd never tried in any FM or CM up until now. I decided to manage a national side, my beloved England national side to be precise.

I never expected to do well, who would expect to do well with England? Anyway I got to the quarter finals of the Euro 2008 championships, and guess who I was up against? Yep our old rivals Germany.

Things started as expected, they took the lead, followed by another goal. I'd usually just say sod it and not bother trying to change things, if I were managing a league club. But this is a massive event, I had to atleast try, right?

On comes Lampard in AMC, just behind Rooney. I have them both swapping positions with hargreaves and Carrick feeding them balls down the middle. 60th minute Lampard hits a long range shot which screams past the keeper. 2-1 to me, I thought I was back in with a shout.

But woe is me, Germany go 3-1 up and I have 10 minutes to go. 5 minutes later Shaun-Wright Philips crosses in a ball and lampard is at the far post, smashes it in to the top corner, 3-2, let the nerves begin.

89th minute and Richards plays a long ball over the head of the defender marking Rooney, who has the pace to beat him and go 1 vs 1 with the keeper. Thankfully prior to this I installed the beta patch, so I was in with a chance of scoring here, though I was still expecting the worst. Anyway, Rooney dribbles past the keeper to the left, and hits a low shot across the face of goal for it to nestle in the bottom corner. The come back is complete, but it doesn't end there.

In the dying minutes of extra time who should emerge as the hero? Lampard of all people. I still hate the overpaid twit, but he secured his hat trick and won us the game. Most exciting match I've had in a long time.

An amazingly I went on to win the whole thing. Funnily enough I came back from 2-0 down against Croatia in the semi's. Although I was very lucky in the final with Italy having a player sent off, then having 4 injuries so they were down to 9 men. But I didn't mind. It was an amazing evening of FM

Lost to AC Milan 4-0 away in the 1st knockout round of the Champions league. Game was 4-0 to the good at home, went to extra time and ended up 7-0, so 7-4 aggregate. I was a largely unchanged Chelsea side in the 08/09 season.

4-0 up at half time with Halifax town.

Histon came back to 4-4 by the 70th minute and it stayed that way until the end!

I had all players on 8'a or above, there players were mostly 4's and 5's, a 6 for the GK.

Wish i knew what their managers team talk was!!

I was winning 5-1 to an amateur team (all grey players) by minute 70 in cup. I made 3 subs and slowed tempo, and went to kitchen for a drink. When I returned it was 89 minute and 5-5. Luckily it remained 5-5 and I won the replay 1-3.

In a cup match I was losing 0-2 but heavily deserved to win. Finally I get 3-2, and quite happy. But in second leg I started losing 6-1!!! I managed to get 6-4 with 8 minutes ahead... but I couldn't did it. Too cruel :p


In playoffs I have lost first leg two times 1-0 and second leg I won 1-3 and 0-3!!! Two of my favourite matches, I saved them ^^

Chelsea - Newcastle in FM07

I had just decided to try to help the money troubled club back to a more respectable positions and see if I could make a top 4 club out of them.

After two minutes I was 2-0 down. Horrible... A litle tactic change, taking off duff and putting on N'zogbia. And viola. Outplayed Chelsea for the rest of the match. Winning against Chelsea on Stamford Bridge. The result was:

Chelsea 2( Drogba, Robben) - Newcastle 5 (N'zogbia, Miller, Martins (65, 79) Taylor)

That was the best comeback ever :p well it might not have been a propper "comeback" as it all happened in the space of the first 20 minutes, but it was still quite fun to watch Chelsea being creamed, and also have a media fight with Mourinho afterwards. Best FM moment ever.

My worst FM experience:

CL final against no other than Milan with Manutd.

Was up 3-0 by halftime. Told them to relax (big mistake) Next I see Inzhagi scores two in the space of five minutes and Kaká adds with a goal before Prilo seals their victory with a freekick....
