during one of my gamew where I added a few friends as rivals, in a game between 2 of them one was 5-1 up at HT but lost 6-5

plus just yesterday I was playing in the copa america, mexico vs argentina, my mexico side leveled from 2 down, uncommon but not amazing, until you consider that they did it twice in the same game. not quite an amazing single comeback, but extra credit is due for the repetition I think. it ended 4-4.

nothing this version, but i was 0-2 and a man down as arsenal at home to middlesbrough after 15 minutes 1-2 at halftime, i came back to win 4-2. i beat boro 7-0 by halftime the next season. that'll teach boro.

Most memorable comeback that I was on both ends of (I was in charge of both teams, both going all out to win the game) was in FM06, a Champions League QF between Whitley Bay and Newcastle United.

Whitley Bay won the away leg 0-1, went 1-2 down in the return home leg, but then Newcastle had their 'keeper stretchered off before the half hour mark and I didn't have one on the bench. Whitley Bay having the best attacking midfield in the world at that time took full advantage and went in 5-2 up at half time. Newcastle came out like men possessed in the second half though (can't remember my team talk to either side, but for WB it was almost certainly to not let performance drop). Not only did Newcastle's right winger keep a clean sheet in the second half, they poured forward constantly, equalised for 5-5 and then scored a 30-yard winner in the dying minutes for a 6-6 aggregate and a win on away goals.

And just to prove I wasn't cheating, I would have preferred Whitley Bay to win so I was rather disappointed!

I hate comebacks in the game, both when I do one or the opponent. Most of the time it is linked to a good team talk.

I know that a game can be a game of two halves, like the Villa vs Arsenal game last weekend. But the reason for this is change in tactics, like villa defended further up the pitch and pressed like mad. I am sure it did not happen because the coach screamed "for the fans" just befoire the came out of the dug out for the second half...

On the topic, my most cherished one was in FM2007 when I won the away leg of the CL quarter final 3-0 after being down 2-0 in my home leg
