Anyone know the reasoning behind this? Having them separate takes away from the immersive-ness (if that's a word) of the game IMO, since you don't necessarily hear about some major world events, like big transfers and takeovers, if you don't check the News Page often.
Get Inbox and News back together! They miss each other!
i wish that the news would show more international stuff. When I click continue on that little screen that pops up when its processing i see loads of interesting stuff like beckham voted MVP but when i check my news folder i dont see anything like that. im playing with 5 countries so i want to see info from every one!
Makes sense if you ask me. All the news which directly involves you goes to your personal inbox, and all other news goes in the news screen. I don't like reading through tons of uninteresting crap so I like the change.
Let's have a tick box in Preferences, "Show News Items in Inbox".
I've also just noticed that the option to select the level of news you receive in the Preferences menu is gone. I can't remember what it used to say, but you had the option to choose the highest level of news you'd received, be it Local, National, or World, something like that.

Agreed with this, but Chas (Psyatika)'s idea of having a tick box so that all items can be shown in the inbox sounds like a nice idea for those that don't like the current layout.
Why were the News and Inbox split?
