That would kind of defeat the object - the whole point is that you are not forced to browse through all the items to clear the list. I would probably end up with hundreds and thousands of news items unread!

A league filter would be nice, defaulted on your current league. It'd be nice to check Holland's league news or maybe international news only.

I favour the split news/inbox though. It cuts down the amount of junk entirely, I like having my inbox all related to me, I don't want to hear that Tottenham are trying to buy Joleon Lescott in my inbox...

I think the suggestions of allowing users to filter their own personal inbox news should be the way to go forward, IMO.

This way everyone can be catered for: I prefer only relevant news, but there are some items I would like to receive and not have to remember to hunt them out...

I think at least having the option to put them back together is needed. It annoys the hell out of me that I have to manually find out who Player of the Month is etc (obviously if it doesn't involve my side).

A bit weird that Christiano Ronaldo was transferred and I didn't even know it..

Also as a person who starts in the lower leagues, I used to use the news as a vehicle to find decent players 'free transferred' from bigger competitions, and disgruntled players.

I like them separated.

I wouldn't mind though a Preferences check box to accomodate other users.

While at it, why the 150 limit ? or give a chance to ['download'/'save'/'print'/'move to Notes in mass'] the whole thing for archiving.

Put them back together. This for me is the worst thing FM08. I hate going back and forth checking news when they could of all been in one box that said "News & Updates" or "Headlines" or something.

Like others, I'm finding myself out of the FM world because I simply can't keep checking the inbox and news box after every progress to keep track. I mean I don't even know what's going on in the transfer market in my league, let alone in European competitions.

This needs fixing immediately. I hope it can some way be fixed in the patch? I would hope so because it really sucks.

Total so far is that:
20 people(including me) want it put back together.
11 people want it seperate
The main idea however is to have a tick box if you want it together of not or at least split but on the same page.

I think it will be better if you put them together and i want to know why there is a 150 limit if you read a news item should you be allow to delete it, i hope we can.
