While we're at it I hope Windows Live starts sending newspaper articles from around the world to my hotmail inbox, even ones which don't interest me. That would be really handy |

I prefer it the new way. I hated the overfilled inboxes earlier, this is so much nicer.
A tick box would be good though.

As the game has expanded over the years the more stuff you have got in your "Inbox". Maybe people liked that, but we had a lot of complaints about being bogged down by meaningless news items.
The idea was to have these relating to the various competitions in the game and it's something I was in great favour of. Of course, the implementation could have been done better and I'm sure it will be in the future.
If people have better suggestions then we're happy to listen to and discuss them. It's certainly something that has been a big subject in our office.

| Maybe just what you need is a junkmail filter.
all reliable post services have it.
Maybe you can have a window where you can click the kind of news items you can and cant do without.
The kind of news items you are not interested about would be considered junk and could go straight to the bin. I mean who cares who was voted asian player of the year anyways?!
I mean, you might, so then you can choose to get such news in yr mail!
I think they should still be archived by relative importance type.

I like the split. But I wan't more news...
A preference ticker would be nice. For instance I wan't news concerning the division I'm playing in, the nation I am playing in, the nation I am from, the nation I am from, Champions League news, major international tournaments news. News about big transfers, news about available jobs.
Much more news, almost to the amount of a newspaper
But as I said, I like the split. The inbox should be club related and related to you as manager.

I like it - I was asking for this a year ago, so I'm very happy with it. It's the first version in years that I haven't just skipped through the news page to hit continue.
I think that perhaps people are not used to browsing for news. One thing that could easily go unnoticed - if you click on the ticker bar it takes you to the competition news screen.

I vote for a screen where I can see both, but in seperate hlaves of the screen.
The top half would have Inbox items on Left, and News items on Right.
The bottom half of the screen would have the reading pane which showed whichever item from either section I had chosen.
