To be honest, I like the split. It nicely separates the more important team-related stuff from the other news.

Though, I do admit, it does make it harder to stay in-tune with the rest of the world, and even the rest of your own league. In the demo, I found that there were some nice items about the other MLS teams, but they were usually old and irrelevant by the time I was made aware of them.

Yeah i agree, feel abit seperate from the rest of the football world, unless you check the job column every few days you miss chances to apply for jobs etc. if you click on the news screen you only get news for your division. is there away of getting news from other leagues/competitions?

They should be back together with a filter so we can pick and choose which news and from where we want.

I like the idea of a seperate divisional news section from the inbox, I just don't like the way it's been implemented.

I hate the fact that if I have a player who is in the top three for Young Player of the Month, I will get the news item in my inbox, but if none of my players get listed in Player of the Month, that will go the the news section. News items on awards should go straight to the inbox.

The news section should only be used for the transfer news, grumbles and moans of players, and manager comments.

Another possible solution though is that it could be treated like the inbox, telling us how many news stories we haven't read yet, therefore, making us aware of any items we have yet to read, as well as an option to read them, or if they don't interest us, ignore them. For those of us who miss the news items involving other clubs, this should help in making us more aware of what is going on in the football world.

yea seems to me to be not so much a problem of two different news iteams rather about how they were allocated. news concerning your players and clubs in your own league should be together in your inbox since they directly or indirectly affect your game while news of the world that can go separetely.
