If you don't want it, don't use it. an editor is a tool that is almost included in every management game, and even some strategy games.
I rather have SI fix the problems where you can't score even when you have 30 shots on goal. You have to make priorities.
And as Icelander83 said, you are contradicting yourself.

I also adjust the stadium of st james park so that it can be extended in the future..
please tell me mr original poster (op) how this is cheatig against you... surely this is just me enhancing my enjoyment of my game that i alone play..

Good to get people talking!
I'm not suggesting getting rid of anything. I'm suggesting that playing without using it is better than with it.
Also, I didn't say people shouldn't play as the big 4. I used it as an example of a cheat whereby people add rich teams and buy rubbish from their chosen team for inflated sums and attempt to sell the best players to their chosen team for a pittance.
I often play as Arsenal. I have no issue with that.
And yes, it is none of my business what you get up to with your copy and I'm sorry that some of you feel so strongly about the issue, but all i did was express an opinion that is my inalienable right to express.
i am a FM snob. I want to play it the way I think it should be played. Evidently, not many people agree. oh well, life goes on...

Point is, you weren't just suggesting. A suggestion would perhaps go something like this:
"Not using the editor, my experience
by jedclough
I have never used the editor, nor ventured into the good player guide.
I scout all my transfers first, using the ingame scouts. I take immense satisfaction in un-earthing a gem through this process and that satisfaction is multiplied tenfold when we win a title. I know then that I have earned my wages through blood, sweat and tears.
I therefor suggest more people try this, maybe they will find the same satisfaction that I did."
Posts with something like what I quoted you on earlier are in no way suggestive posts, they are rants.

I use the editor to cheat , made Mongolian Desertship the best around and Hut United the best with the best players , i think the game should not load if you do not use the editor previously , it can display a massage like
"THE TEAM YOU CHOSE IS NOT CHEATED ENOUGH , USE THE EDITOR TO CHEAT OR EXIT GAME"
not cheated databases should be banned.

One question though jedclough.
Why do you feel it is cheating when using the editor and apparently it's not cheating when visiting the Good Player forum?
In my opinion, they are both quite the same.

icelander: I think the correct definition of a rant is pretty much everything that came my initial rant. So what if it was a rant or a suggestion. Do we need to get into a semantic argument?
What if my wording was strong. It's just me being expressive. Do you really think I'm about to embark on a campaign to ban the editor - me and whose army!?! Grow up. people are entitled to their opinions. I see that few people exercised restraint in countering my argument so why should I be bound by restraint when expressing my opinion. i don't like the editor being used to cheat. i want to play the game the way it should be played. Am I not allowed to express that without condemnation?

| I agree, both are just as bad. But for some reason going to the good player forum has somehow become generally accepted around here and you won't get an angry linch mob chasing you for doing that. But you will if you even hint at cheating with the editor.
Personally I couldn't give a toss either way. No one should.

JedClough, I'm sorry but I have to agree with Icelander83 here. Your initial post is very clear in demanding that people no longer use the editor, and that if they DO choose to use it, they aren't worthy of owning the game. Also, it is one thing to 'voice an opinion', but it is a whole different kettle of fish to propose a campaign based upon your opinion. The fact that you've tried to play down the seriousness of your initial post with lines such as "Good to get people talking! ", makes me think that you regret openly discrediting other people's choices to utilize the editor. So maybe seeing as you are so openly admitting to being a snob, you should perhaps find a way to be less of one, and learn to enjoy the game and let everyone else enjoy it how they please?

| Never said you are not entitled to your opinion, however I said you are going about it in completely the wrong way. If you had posted something like what I suggested (obviously better thought out and longer) then I doubt anyone would have had to restrain anything. And now all you are doing is twisting your own word and meaning to be something to counter what other people say.
How about you start a new thread about the same thing but in a calmer manner? Maybe then there could be some useful discussion on the matter. Maybe even logical debate, not useless poo-flinging and semantical jibber-jabber?
