quite a strong opinion of "I want to start a campaign to ban the FM game Editor." though. That sounds more like a CAMPAIGN.

The FM editor is amazing. You do not have to use it; so don't!

I love creating my own team at the bottom and trying to work my way up.

But I guess no-one can have fun if you were in charge, huh?

We're not playing for money or anything you loser - just play it how you want to play it. I wouldn't dream of going into someone's home and demand they wash things up by hand when they've got a perfectly good dishwasher sat there, it's not mine or your call to make how someone plays their games or for that matter lives their lives.

Seriously man, you just wasted 10 minutes of your life typing all of that and it's only result is going to be to wind a whole bunch of people up.

I propose SI also get rid of Chelsea, Man utd, Arsenal & Liverpool. They should not be allowed in the game, they win too many matches and the people who manage them are dirty cheats.

We should not be allowed our own free choice of what we do with our game, it's a privilege we abused for far too long.

I'm all for SI getting rid of the editor and making Scunthorpe the only manageable club. That way we can't sell screenshots on ebay of us winning the Champions League with Barcelona.

And how should it be played exactly? A football club, any football club, offering me a job is about as realistic as Peru landing a man on Pluto in the next 10 years. So I guess really I should just as myself as an unemployed manager and just watch the football world progress, rejecting any job offers because they are obviously totally unrealistic.

No. He's not expressing an opinion, he is campaigning to get rid of the editor. That effectively crosses the line from being an opinion to trying to enforce his views on other people.

with the editor, the world is our oyster, we can create experiements, or even leagues and competitions with ourselves and friends as players. not to mention to give our favourite team a helping hand, if only by maxing rep, town rep and percentage of hardcore fans. I myself have dabbled with these things over the past few weeks, I personally keep my main playing game free from any editing so its just as its supposed to be, and I like the fact that in the game you have to use your judgement on how good a player is without a single rating number, seeing such a value would devalue that side of the game, but thats just a matter of personal choice, if someone wants to edit their main game or look at the editor to see the ability value of a player, then there's no reason why they shouldn't, its not like only thay can do it.

I don't use the editor or any of those fancy scouting tools I hear people talking about. However I guess everybody is allowed to play the game the way they want.

I don't see what you problem is. If you hate the editor, then don't use it. It's really none of your business how people choose to play a game they have bought.

As for banning the editor, why stop there? Let's ban this message board and poscribe all affiliated sites.

Ehm, hello? Trying to reel back, are we? You said you wanted it banned, ie you want to get rid of it.

Saying something shouldn't be allowed because it doesn't hold up to your idea of what the game should be played like is a bit daft, in my opinion. Just imagine what would happen if everyone was forced to play like those guys in the LLM forum! I admire their resiliance but it's not everyones cup of tea. Neither is your way of playing the game.

I, for one, have taken immense pleasure from adding myself as a potential worldbeater. Why should I be derived of that just because you don't want to do it?
