Hey,

I hope some of you guys can help me.

I am trying to play my friend who has a PC, and I have a Mac. We are trying to play the Networked game, but won't connect.

I used my Dad's PC to connect and it worked fine, but I need to use my Mac.

It is supposed to be compatible. We have the same game and we also have the most recent patch installed, but it still won't work.

When I try to connect to her game it says she is using a different version to me, but we are both using the latest version.

Please can anyone help?

Firstly, are there any firewalls or virus protection programs running? If so, allow permission for FM to access what it needs to or close these down when you attempt to run.

Also, can your Mac see the PC when networked up outside of the game?

Hi.

There are no firewalls or virus programs running, and all the right ports are open on the router.

Does there need to be another patch to fix this?

It is really strange because it works fine from PC to PC with exactly the same connection.

If you go through a router it might be that the router forward the connection to the pc and not to the mac. I don't have much experience with FM in particular but with other programs you sometimes have to tell the router what computer to send the info to.

Are you both running the patched version of teh game? It may be that one of you are using the patch and the other is not.

Are the ports you have open being used by any other programs? Torrents etc?
