the original challenge by monteva said northern irish league only, so you shouldn't really. It's best to stick to that so that everyone is playing the same challenge.
check the first page of the thread for the rest of the rules

Get In!

Both scorers play for me

Unfortunately, I lost the previous game to Russia so I have 4 points after the first 3 games.

Wow 1. An early penalty saw us go 1-0 up and I set up a ten man defence after that. Inter didn't find many chances and when they did, my third choice keeper was there to the rescue. My heart stopped beating when they were awarded a penalty in the 76th minute. But guess who came to the rescue?

Wow 2. My first match in charge of N. Ireland and its against the mighty France, ranked 10th in the world. Suprisingly, N. Ireland is ranked 23rd. Pre-match, an ex-international suggested that N. Ireland has the ability to beat France and a midfielder warned France against complacency(we were 10-1 odds). I was a little lazy and used the default 4-4-2 without changing anything. Can't believe it worked so well(although we had a 1 man advantage for most of the match).

And I sold Nelson to Arsenal for 12M. Would have gotten 14M if he chose Chelsea. I now have a 30M kitty but no one to spend the cash on.

sorry guys, have been away a while (somthing about not being on Work Experiance and not work, meant no reports, although i have had little to report, wheras going pro was good enough to get me promoted to prem its been a hard struggle to get into europe,

Heartbreak was ahd 2 out of 3 years where we finished 5th (with the cup winners finishing in top 4) and just missed out on europe, :-(

however alleyluja
http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/383...leyluyaqq1.png

at my 8th season i came 3rd (and this time the ironically the cup winners finished below me) so it was only the intertoto cup. At least it was europe - i hoped i would do well enough to get a big tie, but wasn't overally optermistic.

One thing i have noticed is the mass gulf that has emerged between linfield, glentoran and portadown, for example rohan rickets now plays for glentoran, and the big three just buy any player off the rest of the leaguefor 50k and are selling their stars for 1m to scotland and occasionally england.
need a few seasons in europe b4 i can legitimatly compete with them, although i finished above glentoran this season by a point, but that is likly to do with them losing their 2 best players to scotland and losing all 5 out of 6 to the top 3

In europe things went better than i could have dreamed. Based on my sporadic league form and inability to beat either of the top 2 throughout the season i didn't hold much hope but my heroes took me all the way to the semi's and £390k payout at HSV - the only sad part was that i didn't even go out legitimatly and it took away goals - how i got a 3 v 2 against hsv was a miracle - esp as they went 2 v 0 up.

this said however i only hust balenced the books, with a positive balence of 100k and still no money to spend (starting season 9 with no money ever). I have admittedly turned down 1m and 5m for star MC and ST respectivly (with the CM now 32 and diminished in appeal) but have balenced the books on in previous seasons by selling promison MC for 500k.
For this reason when i negotiated a price up to 1m for my GK i picked up in league 2 (after just purchasing a back up for him) i reluctently had to say goodbye to my longest serving player. However i now have 1m to spend (although still nobody poutside of ireland interested and only 5 players on the interested list with a value (1k 1k 1k 2k 5k). Hopefully next year my reputation will have raised and strides will be able to be made - i just really need to finish top 3 again.

To those of you that are playing as Holywood. {Pronounced Hollywood btw, go figure), go Holywood~!

I lived there a few years back and it really is a just a small little town on the border of Belfast, so getting them to Europe, if you do, will be a very big achievement.

Anyway, I'm going to give this a go. So ... starts simming.

according to wikipedia, Tandragee is a village of 3,050 people. It has a castle and a crisp factory, but not much else.

Good luck with the challenge Pepsi, hope you get Holywood.

I hope I get Holywood as well. Not that I was really that popular there, the English never did get a good reception. better than in Belfast, but still ... we weren't love. Shame we couldn't get the Palace Barracks team, that would be sweet.

Just started with a team you seem to know quite well. Damn then for not giving me Holywood~!

Eniskillen Rangers are now under the control of one Gregory A. Sterling. There only staff member. The sole staff member. Good God, we're going to die.

In a team full of grey players, we now have a substantial squad of twenty players with all positions covered and a fifty year old goalkeeper. Boo yeah~!

With less than a month left to the Intermediate League Cup, things should start getting heated up soon. A few friendlies maybe? England, here we come. Or maybe just south of the border. We're a poor club. =(

What a season!!!

Although I was hoping to win the league this season I didn't expect to win it with so much force. Ended top with a massive 74 points. All new signings did well and instantly improved my squad. Unfortunatly one of the best of these signings looks set to leave the club on a free soon due to not signing a new contract (greedy thing!). Good thing is the best youth player I got this season plays in the same position and when given a chance in the first team did really well

Reached the group stages in Europe for the first time which was great and won the league cup Only reached the Q-Finals of the Irish cup and S-Finals in the All-Ireland cup, but due to the league success am not really too bothered by it.

Have vastly improved my coaches and scouts to give better results and help with the training which really did have a good impact.

Clubs still not turned professional and still have a small stadium, but now has £2.5M in the bank Training facilities are now up to average

For the new season will be looking for a new DC and ST - although I have 3 good strikers non of them are prolific enough to do well in Europe.
